KÄPY – Child Death Families KÄPY ry

KÄPY ry is a non-governmental organization devoted to providing peer support for families whose child has died. KÄPY was founded in 1991 by families who had lost a child through SIDS, and the original Finnish name reflected that. But since its foundation KÄPY has grown a lot. KÄPY’s mission is to support families who have experienced the death of their child – no matter how their child died or how old the child was. Every time a child dies before his/her parent it is considered as a child death. KÄPY provides peer support, peer training, promotes the interests of families and takes part in research.

If you would like to attend to the peer support group meetings for parents, please contact us. At the moment we don´t have ongoing group in english but if we will have enough participants the group will be organized.
